Today, colleagues across Omega Kitchens came together to take part in a **"Wear It Orange" dress down day** in support of the **Batten Disease Family Association (BDFA)**, helping to raise awareness of this rare and devastating condition.

Employees from across the business swapped their usual workwear for something orange, with teams throughout our offices and manufacturing facilities embracing the opportunity to show their support. It was wonderful to see so many people getting involved, each adding their own touch of orange in solidarity with the families affected by Batten disease.

Batten disease is a **rare, inherited neurological condition** that primarily affects children. The condition causes progressive damage to the nervous system, leading to a decline in a child's ability to walk, talk, see and communicate, and currently there is **no cure**. The impact on affected children and their families is profound, making awareness, support and ongoing research more important than ever.

The **Batten Disease Family Association (BDFA)** provides invaluable support to families navigating the challenges of the condition. Alongside offering practical advice and emotional support, the charity also works tirelessly to raise awareness and fund research that could one day lead to improved treatments and, ultimately, a cure.

By taking part in Wear It Orange Day, Omega Kitchens was proud to stand alongside the Batten disease community and play a small part in helping to shine a light on a condition that many people may never have heard of.

A huge **thank you to everyone across Omega Kitchens who took part, donated, and helped raise awareness**. The enthusiasm and support shown throughout the day demonstrated the strength of our people and our commitment to supporting causes that make a difference.

Together, we can continue to increase understanding, show compassion, and support those affected by Batten disease.
