Supporting the BDFA at Omega

Wear it orange

Today at Omega, our team came together for a vibrant Bake Sale and Dress Down/Wear Orange Day, in aid of the Batten Disease Family Association (BDFA) - a UK chairty that offers vital care, resources, and advocacy for families affected by Batten disease, while driving research that will one day deliver better treatments.

A Shared Purpose - And Plenty of Cake!

From first light the scene of freshly baked cupcakes, brownies, and pastries filled our offices. Colleagues swapped suits for bright orange outfits, turning every floor into a warm sea of colour that reflected the BDFA's signature hue of hope.

A big thank you to everyone at Omega who showed their support by wearing orange, donating tatsty bakes, or buying treats, Your kindness and generosity mean so much in helping to fund important research.

Why the BDFA Matters

Batten disease is a rare, inherited neuro-degenerative condition that affects children and young adults, causing progressive loss of eyesight, mobility, and cognitive skills. The BDFA:

- Offers specialist family support and a 24/7 helpline

- Funds cutting-edge scientific research

- Campaigns for earlier disgnosis, improved clinical pathways, and greater public awareness

Together, we've shown that a little orange - and a lot of cake - can make a meaningful difference.

Today has been a 'sweet' success!
